I realized this page was at least a year old and needed to be updated. But what to write?
My twitter profile sums me up nicely:
Dog Under My Desk PDF Sewing Patterns & Tutorials.
Addicted to fabric.
Stargate & Sanctuary fangirl.
SciFi, TV, WordPress & Mac geek.
Owned by 2 Yorkies.
Sugar Grove, IL, USA.
I would also add wannabe photographer, but you know Twitter and it’s character limits. :)
I’m an analytical kind of person and I’m kind of a techie, which translates well into the sewing world. I like the technical side of sewing – accurate seams, math, figuring out construction, taking a gazillion pictures and creating PDF patterns and tutorials. All of those pictures and obsessively detailed instructions help to make your project a success, whether you are still learning how to sew or have years of experience. And I promise, zippers are NOT SCARY!
I keep very late hours (those of you who follow me on Twitter are nodding…) but generally I do this full time right now, so please don’t hesitate to contact me. I have three or four new patterns and at least that many new tutorials in the works right now, but they take a while because they are so detailed. I would rather post a few tutorials of things you really want to make rather than something new every week that you don’t. I don’t make things intentionally for sale, but sometimes I will list samples when I end up making multiples of the same bag. If you ever have questions about a pattern or a tutorial, please send me an email or tweet me or find me on Facebook!
I would also like to take the opportunity to thank all of you. Between the amazing online sewing community and my fangirl friends, I have friends all over the world. Thanks to them, my customers and my blog readers, especially those who take the time to leave comments and send emails, I have never felt more supported and loved. Thank you. <3
