Last week

Sorry! I did not intend to take a week off. I’m as anxious to get these patterns finished as you all are for them to be done! I think I got back to most everyone but if you emailed me and I didn’t write back, please bug me again. Thanks!

I ran out of hardware for wristlets and had to order more. Somehow the first set I ordered were slightly too big, so I ordered from a different seller who sent me something completely different than the listing said and they were even bigger than the first set. <sigh> I ordered from a third seller and finally got the ones I needed. They came in the mail today, so I’m all set to continue!

In the mean time…

My friend Katie hosted a baby shower for her sister-in-law and I helped design the invites and made one of those pennant banners for her and then got sidetracked by this…

Welcome to every my waking moment of last Monday through Wednesday:

Monkeys and Turtles and Owls and Whales!

I love the fabric, it’s Urban Zoologie from Fat Quarter Shop.

Monkeys and Turtles and Owls and Whales! Monkeys and Turtles and Owls and Whales!
Why do I always think I can pretend to be a quilter? I’m not. I can make a quilt but it’s not my favorite thing to do. Piecing the top I like. The quilting on my tiny Bernina? Not so much. ;) More photos over on Flickr!

I hope the little guy liked it! I didn’t get to go to the party. We found out my Wednesday that my grandfather passed away. It was somewhat expected, but it still turns your life upside down as you are fetching relatives from the airport and baking and sorting through old photos and all of those things. I’m catching up around here this week and then I’ll be back on track!

Sugar Pouch

To apologize, I’ll bump up priority on the tutorial for the zippy pouches. Another friend of mine bought a sewing machine this week, so I need a new fun thing to show her how to make. I love converting my fangirl friends to sewing friends as much as I enjoy converting my sewing friends into fangirls! <3

And finally, head on over to imagine gnats for a promo code. :D

You really did convert me! So many pretty things to make…I want to make the little earbud pouch, but probably not until this weekend!

I love the quilt. I want to try quilts one day, but the idea of quilting with my tiny machine scares me :)
