Giveaway Winners!!

February 22, 2012
By Erin Erickson

Thank you to everyone for participating in the giveaway! There were 138 comments total AND as of this afternoon the Facebook page is at 399! So exciting!

The winners are Andi, Donna and Colleen! I’ve emailed each of you with more info.

To everyone who commented: I could not do this without you. Seriously, you are awesome. Thank you. I’ll do another giveaway soon!

Also – I have a new sponsor! (How cool is that?) So please welcome Lisa from Simple Girl Sews! She has an Etsy shop with handmade pouches and accessories, so please go take a look!

If you are interested in joining Lisa over on the right sidebar, click the “advertise here” button for more info. Thanks!

Sorry this post is a couple days late – I swear everything around here takes longer than I think it will. We decided to move our living room furniture around this weekend, which meant moving our TV and Ken had to re-wire the house because we didn’t have cable on the new wall. Thank goodness he knows how to do that, but he had to disconnect the internet in my room for a while. (Bonus, no internet = I cleaned my house!) Extremely long story short: Our townhouse is too small. We both work from home and need separate work spaces, but we only have 2 bedrooms and no formal dining room to turn into an office, so the living room is the only other work space. We call it the Tetris house because we are constantly flipping furniture around to try to make things work better. Plus, we never planned on staying here forever (now going on 8+ years) so we held off on buying furniture that was right for the space. We are slowly trying to change that, which is why my room was a mess for most of January while we added bookshelves for organization and moved my desk and photography stuff around. A new living room couch will be next, hopefully, eventually. My friend Lisa and I tested out the new arrangement last night with a wine and DVD night and it worked out great! (I’m trying to get her hooked on Sanctuary!)

There is a Sanctuary marathon on SyFy all day tomorrow (Thursday) – so I’m running errands tonight, hitting the gym to work off the apple pie/chocolate cake/ice cream sundaes we made last night and then sewing/taking pictures/writing all day tomorrow to hopefully finish Earbud Pouch licensed version (I’m totally re-writing it) while I watch a day full of Sanctuary :) Yes, I believe the proper term is “fangirl.” I certainly don’t try to deny it.

So, if you are still reading, do you want me to add the heart shaped pouch into the Earbud Pouch tutorial? Because I will, if you want me to! :)

    Congratulations to the winners. Enjoy.

I know how it is to live in a house that is a bit too small. Our house is ‘comfortable’ but now that the kids are grown and have started their own families I’m starting to feet extremely cramped when more than one of them come at the same time. Heck the living room completely disappears when the holiday mealtime comes because I have to set up a banquet table in the middle of the room. Definitely not optimum when little kids want to run free. LOL I had to laugh at your ‘Tetris House’ comment because I know exactly what you mean.

I would love to see a tutorial on the heart shaped pouch, yes. Thank you so much.

This just totally brightened a windy, dreary day :)

I would love you to add the heart ear bud pouch to your tutorials! They are soooo cute!
It doesn’t matter how big or small your house is – we accumulate ‘stuff’ to fill it up what ever the size!
Our family enjoys watching ‘Sanctuary’ too. I always thought the main character looked a bit familiar but couldn’t place her. That was until my husband told me she was also in ‘Stargate’ as a blond Sam.
