I am finally DONE sewing earbud pouches! (Tutorial here) I had to take my machine in for service this morning (it’s way past due) but in the mean time, I’m going to finish taking pictures of these individually and get them up on Etsy. The pink ones are already listed. If you see something you like don’t wait, because I won’t be making many more of these before Christmas and it’s possible I might not have any more of that fabric left (feel free to ask!). I have a couple to finish once I get my machine back, but I’m ready to move on to my next project(s)!
Since these have an exposed seam right at the zipper opening, they are zigzagged and fray blocked. Instead of just backstitching I pulled the threads through and tied them off and buried them. That, plus trimming out all that batting, is what took forever. They turned out so awesome! I hope you like them and I should have all of them up there by the end of the night!
On a side note – my BERNINA is in very good hands over at Sew Generously in St. Charles, IL. If you live anywhere near me (far west Chicago burbs), please go check out their new website and Like them on Facebook. I would not trust my machine anywhere else. They are fantastic!
UPDATE: They are up! Circle Zip Earbud Pouches on Etsy

Those look gorgeous, Erin! I have a couple of them on my to-make list before Christmas. Thanks for your tutorial!
I blogged about having to send my machine in too – very traumatic! Love your blog, loved this tutorial especially. Thanks!
Erin, I just wanted to write and thank you for this idea! I made a few of these for gifts this Christmas, in spite of imposing a sewing ban on myself as far as handmade gifts go. Decided that these were an exception because they were gorgeous and simple and fast to do! I made them in neoprene and vinyl (for the faux leather look) for guy friends and the usual designer cotton/ home dec for the girls. Lovely! Haven’t blogged about them because too lazy right now. Have a wonderful Christmas and, again, thank you!!!!
Thanks for your tutorial. I used it to make an earbud pouch for my daughter. I would really like for you do see it, if you have time. I had a lot of fun making them, great instructions! Thanks so much. I also want to let you know that I linked to your blog, and mentioned that one can purchase an earbud pouch in your etsy shop. I do hope that this is all okay, and if not, I’ll remove it right away.
Linda – Oh my gosh I LOVE the dinosaur!!! SO CUTE!!! Thanks for posting! :)
Hi! These are great! Do u sell them on etsy?
These were all listed on Etsy back in December but they are all gone. I might make more, but not this week! :) Sorry you missed them. Check back soon!
