Hi everyone! I’m sorry if any of you using RSS readers got a bunch of my old posts. The feed hiccuped when we refreshed the site with the new design:

I’ve had a crazy weekend, as you can see… the site re-design is complete! Thanks to WordPress (and some help from Ken, of course) I was able to re-design the site in just a few days. I finished the Two Zip Hipster pattern last week, but the file turned out to be 15 MB (there are tons of photos) and a lot of email providers cap their email attachments at 10MB, so I decided I needed an automatic download option.
Re-designing it allowed me to have different templates and widgets for each page, so that I could have the Pattern Shop integrated into my existing site. I can even send download links to people who order on Etsy! (Though the Etsy part is not automatic, so if you would like your pattern right away, please order it here.)
One of these days I will create a landing page and separate page for the blog, but for now I’m happy with it. I still have to update some of the content, but the functionality of the site is all set thanks to Ken, who fixed some quirky things I was being picky about and made my photo galleries work. Ken also set up the AWESOME new Tutorials page! If you have any questions or problems with the site or the shop and the automatic downloads, please let me know! We’ve tested it like crazy, but I know from experience there is always some combination of operating system + internet browser that will get cranky. Please send me a message if you have any problems!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like it! September is National Sewing Month, so I’ll definitely get that zippered dog bed tutorial up and I have a bunch of posts planned about the new pattern, too!
