Check out my tutorial on Sew, Mama, Sew!

June 22, 2011
By Erin Erickson

Today I have a tutorial featured on the Sew, Mama, Sew blog! Head on over there to check it out! I made a little stuff sack for keeping extra grocery bags handy to use as trash bags for the car or wherever. It has instructions for applique and a neat way to make a drawstring bag. I like that the lining shows and since the lining doesn’t have interfacing, it makes the casing portion a lot less bulky. You could easily adapt the technique to whatever size you need.

If you are new to my blog, thanks for visiting! Obviously, a lot of my sewing features Sam & Loki but I also make a lot of things for people too. I’m currently working on a Hipster pattern with TWO zippers (zips are not scary, I promise) and I have a few other patterns my Etsy shop. My tutorials are all listed on the right sidebar and on the Tutorials page. Please let me know what you might be interested in learning how to make!

I have a Yorkie too! Her name is Hannah and she is 10 years old. Thank-you for the drawstring bag tutorial—I am a sock knitter, and this will be the perfect project bag.
