I spent an entire weekend day reorganizing my cookbooks. Well, actually all of our books. I donated several that I never use to the library used book sale. I mostly use this binder I have full of Alton Brown and America’s Test Kitchen recipes. I sorted through them all and organized them. Meanwhile, Ken was laughing at me for not using this little program he had, called Mac Gourmet. It came in one of those software bundles he gets all the time. So, I tried it, and it’s pretty cool! Entering the recipes is time consuming, so I’m trying to do a few at a time as I use them. I have 5 or 6 written recipes that have been “passed down” like Ken’s grandmother’s pound cake and Mrs. Fox’s butter cookies. The written copies then have all of my changes written on them and of course spills all over them. So, those are going into this program too. Once I enter them, it syncs to my iPhone so I don’t have to print them and I can access them in the kitchen or even at the grocery store! It’s extremely rare that a program impresses me, so I thought I would pass it on!
